Running into Lachlan Morton was the catalyst for what ultimately became Sunflower Cycling. The story is told in the "Our Story" section. As to the ride, aside from the Sawtooth Sister's training ride, which doesn't really count as a ride 'cause it's hill repeats and hurts too much, Lachy's Loop, at 30 k, is the shortest "official" ride. But with 400 meters of climbing all pretty much packed together, it's a real ride. That's not to say throwing your leg over the top tube and going for a short spin doesn't count--around here, everything goes on Strava. In fact, there's a 400 meter climb up to our village from the river that hits 23% if you'd like to try and pickoff Robin Carpenter's KOM. (Robin has held it since he won it in 2012--at last count, 764 have failed to take it.)
Below Are Photos And A Video Flyover With Profile of Lachy's Loop
Windmill of Mountbrun LauragaisWindmills are scattered throughout the countryside. This is one of only three in the area that still has it's "arms."

Where Our Road Meets All RoadsThis photo was taken where our road connects with all other roads we ride. As you can see, the scenery will take your breath away before the climbs do.

The Eglise of PouzeThere are seven old churches we pass on Lachy's Loop. Each is unique, but all depict the style of the Lauragais region.
