VTT (mountain and/or cross bikes) are hugely popular in our region. With that said, we don't get out much on the fat tires. (The photo-link from the Ride Page with the ponies should have tipped you off.) However, if you love single-track and getting down and dirty in all types of terrain, we can offer you about a billion miles of trails--okay, that's a bit much. Let's just say, "a lot." In addition, you can ride down to the train station along the river and hop a bike-friendly train and take an hour or so ride out to a number of villages in the Pyrenees Mountains with access to ski lifts for Down Hill. (Just don't forget all your Robo Cop protective gear so you can blend-in with all the other wackos of death-defing deeds and descents.) One more thing, please hose yourself off before you reenter Sunflower Cycling. You can use our service course and bike stand to clean your bike--we'd prefer you not just toss it in the pool. (You off-road guys are a different breed but always entertaining.)
Single-Track & SolitarySunflower Cycling is located at the end of a restricted gravel road. It's the beginning, however, of an unending network of trails. Below is a video shot by Steele Von Hoff on a recent visit when he opted for the woods rather than the roads.

Under the Trees & Out of the SunAll trails are maintained and marked by the Sicoval. The person responsible for our area keeps his horse at your neighbor's farm. Perhaps that's why his crew does such an excellent job of keeping the trails assessable throughout the year--removing fallen trees, clearing brush, cutting vines, etc.

Bike-Friendly Trains to MountainsFields from one farm to the next are separated by hedge rows or woods and in those separations lie the trails. If you'd rather go to the mountains, you simply jump on a bike-friendly train in the village down the hill.
